# Managing People

> Add, edit, invite, and organize the people in your district.

The People section is where you manage everyone in your district — candidates pursuing credentials, mentors guiding them, board members, and administrators.

## Add a person

<Steps>

    Click **People** in the main navigation.

    Click the **+ Add Person** button in the top-right corner.

  <Step title="Fill in their details">
    Enter at minimum their first name, last name, and email address. You can also set their language preference and assign tags.

  <Step title="Assign roles">
    Select one or more roles for this person. The role determines what they can see and do in the app.

    Click **Save**. The person is added to your district but can't log in until you send them an invitation.

## Send an invitation

After adding a person, send them an invitation so they can access the app.

    Click **Send Invitation**. They'll receive an email with a login link.

<Tip>
  You can resend an invitation at any time from the person's profile if they didn't receive the first one.
</Tip>

## Edit a person

Click any person's name to open their profile. You can edit:

* Name, email, language
* Assigned roles, tracks, tags
* Custom fields (fields specific to their role)
* Profile photo

Click **Save** after making changes.

## Assign to a track

To track a candidate's credentialing progress, assign them to a track:

    In the **Track** field, choose the appropriate credentialing track (e.g., Ministerial Track, Transfer Track).

  <Step title="Mark course completions">
    As the candidate completes courses, check them off in their profile. Each completion is timestamped.

## Assign a mentor

<Steps>

    Navigate to the candidate.

    In the candidate's profile, select their mentor from the **Mentor** field.

## Archive a person

Archiving removes someone from the active People list without permanently deleting their records.

    Navigate to the person.

  <Step title="Archive">
    Click the **Archive** option in the profile menu. Archived people can't log in.

To view archived people, toggle the **Show Archived** filter in the People list.

## Delete a person

Deleting permanently removes a person and all their associated data (interviews, files, messages).

<Warning>
  Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Archive a person instead if you may need their records later.
</Warning>

Open their profile, click the profile action menu, and select **Delete**.

## Filter and search

Use the search bar to find people by name. Use the filter options to narrow by role, track, or tag.
