# Notification Preferences

> Control how and when Credentials Portal sends you email and push notifications.

Credentials Portal can notify you via email and push notifications when important events happen — new messages, interview updates, and district broadcasts.

## Notification types

| Notification            | When it's sent                                         |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **New message**         | Someone sends you a direct or group message            |
| **Broadcast received**  | An admin sends a district-wide broadcast to your group |
| **Interview published** | Your interview results are published (candidates)      |
| **Invitation**          | You're invited to join the district                    |

## Manage your preferences

    Go to your profile (click your name or avatar in the top-right) and select **Notification Preferences**.

    For each notification type, enable or disable:

    * **Email** — delivered to your registered email address
    * **Push** — delivered as a browser or mobile push notification

    Changes are saved automatically as you toggle each option.

## Enable push notifications

To receive push notifications, your browser needs permission.

    When prompted by your browser, click **Allow** to enable push notifications.

    Once allowed, push notification toggles will become active in your notification preferences.

  Push notification availability depends on your browser and device. If you don't see the push option, try a different browser or check your device's notification settings.

## Unsubscribe from all

To stop all notifications, disable every toggle in Notification Preferences. You'll still be able to see messages and updates when you log in to the app.
