Credentials Portal includes built-in audio recording so you can capture the interview session directly in the app. After recording, AI automatically transcribes the audio and generates a summary. Prerequisites

  • Audio recording must be enabled on the interview profile (configured by your administrator)
  • Your browser must have permission to access your microphone

Record audio

1

Open the interview record

Navigate to the interview you want to record.
2

Start recording

Click the Record button in the audio section. Your browser may ask for microphone permission — click Allow.[Screenshot: Record button and browser microphone permission prompt]
3

Conduct the interview

The recording runs in the background as you conduct the interview. A waveform shows audio is being captured.[Screenshot: Recording in progress with animated waveform and elapsed time]
4

Stop recording

When the interview is complete, click Stop. The audio is saved and processing begins automatically.[Screenshot: Stop button and a “Processing…” spinner]

Transcription

After you stop recording, Credentials Portal automatically:
  1. Saves the audio file to the interview record
  2. Transcribes the audio using AI speech-to-text (supports multiple languages — the language is detected automatically)
  3. Generates a summary of the key points from the transcript
Transcription typically completes within a minute or two depending on recording length. [Screenshot: Completed interview recording showing the audio player, full transcript, and summary]

Review and edit the transcript

The raw transcript appears in the interview record under the recording. You can read and copy it, but editing the transcript directly is not currently supported. The summary provides a condensed overview generated by AI. Use it as a quick reference — always review the full transcript for accuracy.
AI transcription is accurate but not perfect. For official records, review the transcript before relying on it.

Multiple recordings

You can add more than one recording to an interview — for example, if you record different parts of the session separately. Each recording has its own audio file, transcript, and summary. Click + Add Recording to start an additional recording. [Screenshot: Multiple recordings in an interview, each with its own player and transcript]

Download audio

You can download the audio file from an interview record by clicking the download icon next to the audio player.
